Even from the comments within the article, some journalists (or organization members) get disgusted with themselves having to constantly suppress horrible truths.

Eventually some of them will crack rather than carry it on their eternal conscience.

ANd some journalist are just following out dated procedures. (did you hear Hume mention how he used to trust the NYT and rely onit for his stories)

Once they are enlightened they may turn big time on those who have used them....same result as “cracking”
