It's like a husband who upon being caught cheating by his wife, turns round and whines “but, but, other husband cheat too”.
Well, his wife is not married to other men. She is married to him. Even if Jobs’ claims were true (and they are not. HTC has already provided figures to debunk Jobs’s smears), it still wouldn't work. iPhone buyers didn't buy HTC's or RIM phones. They bought an iPhone 4. So why drag RIM and HTC into it? Of course those firms are going to hit back and hit back hard.

That was my point. When the CEO of a company says something like Jobs said it had better be accurate.
So instead of saying, “we screwed up and we’ll fix it” he says “everyone has the same problem”. Then he libels several other companies.
