Following Christies divisive and largely unsuccessful push for a voluntary teacher pay freeze, the administrator plan strikes at populist territory that has long infuriated taxpayers. A recent Star-Ledger review found six-figure salaries are common among administrators, with 235 of them earning more than the governors $175,000 salary in the 2008-09 school year.
(These dopes are making MORE than the Governor!)
What's being proposed:
Proposed pay limits for school administrators
School enrollment (students)/maximum pay(superintendent)
up to 250 / $120,000
251 - 750 / $135,000
751 - 1,500 / $150,000
1,501 - 3,000 / $165,000
3,001 - 10,000 / $175,000
More than 10,000 / to be determined by the Department of Education

The people of New Jersey should get down on their knees daily and thank God for giving them Gov Christie. That man is literally going to save the state from bankruptcy.

I am hppily SHOCKED!
I didn’t expect this. He’s like a steam roller.
I had wanted Loegan and moaned and groaned when he lost, but CHRISTIE has more balls than I don’t know what ... . He’s doing a good job!

Yep, it's hard to believe that just a year ago we were calling Christie a RINO.
The world works in mysterious ways.

Is there a New Jersey ping list?
If so, maybe someone wants to ping them on this.
It’s good news for a change.

FINALLY, someone with a brain in a position of authority in New Jersey. Take the “management team” in schools (those above the title of “teacher” back to what was in place in 1980 or any other year before things got so out of hand and two things will happen: (a) Substantial savings and (b) improved results as the left hand remembers where the right hand resides.

That's the dangerous thing about calling someone a RINO. You have to look at a persons talents and tie them to the job. He may not agree with us on a lot of stuff, but right now, he's the man for the job. You worry about perfection when things are not so chaotic.

It is tough. He is off on a few things but perfect on so many others. He also has that Reagan thing. Not as charming as Reagan but he can be charming and self deprecating. Like Reagan though he has that steel spine to not suffer fools.
Anyone remember Reagan with Poppy Bush and “I paid for this microphone!”
Chris to the NJ major newspaper “get used to me because I am gonna be around for 4 years.”

Conservatism dictates that Christie should finish the 4-year term he was elected to serve.

Not to be a wet blanket, but doesn’t this mean that more students will be passed with artificially high grades so the “merit” can be demonstrated for the higher pay?
