Dicaprio is do brilliant in that movie. I have a severely autistic nephew and he was spot on. Everything about that performance was astounding.

The Hollywood schtick is likely all they surround themselves with, hence is all they know. Especially at Dicaprio´s level it can be all absorbing.
I guess they really don’t want everyone who might go see it to spend their dollars to see it? Great way to lose 50% of the market keep that in mind directors next time you are trying to hock a movie you may not want someone in it who will kill the box office for you before it evens opens?!

It will. Mrs. panax and I saw it on Friday and IT SUCKED!! It was a gruelling 2 1/2 hours of total crap. I prayed that the power would go out. I actually fell asleep and was awakened by my wife because I was snoring. Honest!

Interesting re the Juno kid — she’s from CANADA; not sure if she is a US citizen. I doubt it.
As an aside, my spies high up at Warner Bros. here in LA tell me that the studio heads fear fly-over country won’t ‘get’ Inception. I hope they are right, that middle America hates it, and tells their friends to skip it.

Dicaprio wasn’t bad in Shutter Island but I could never see him as a sex symbol...he’s got that little sissy baby face.
Wow. I felt that way in Sherlock Holmes. I kept praying for it to be over. I had to stay to the end only because I couldn’t get home early for reasons to be named later.
That interview was barf inducing. She kept looking up with that little ‘how cute am I’ look and she really thought she was making some kind of sense.
