In another of Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking” videos, Jay asked someone which former President had once been a peanut farmer and the interviewee answered “George Washington Carver.”
These kind of videos are funny, but what we don’t know is how many people did Leno have to go through who knew the right answers before he found the morons for his clip?
Would love to see Leno ask Obama the same questions!
Idiocracy.
Sounds like the usual idiots over at Digg and Reddit
Actually, it is worse that you think... If the majority of people have no idea about liberty and the Constitution, just where will we be in 20-30 years? Scary, isn’t it?
When he asked the grandfather at the end and he knew all the answers it proved to me that schools haven’t been teaching history for a long time. I know we can’t have literacy tests, but you should be able to answer those basic questions before you’re allowed to vote. If they made you answer those types of BASIC questions before a you could vote, “The 0ne” would be back in Chicago organizing riots.
Why did Washington cross the Delaware?
To get on the other side.
I knew that was coming, I could see it a mile away.
OMG! - these people vote
Exactly what the progressives want - to keep the masses dummied down & stupid! I think with the next election, we should also come up with a different selection method for our kids’ school books...which keep them out of the liberal hands!
The real story there is - always listen to Grandpa!!
Well, if the rest of the “smart” Americans allow the hard left to dominate, what the hell do you expect?
When the good people sit on their *sses, the bad people takeover. It’s real simple.
Yeah, let’s laugh at the fool’s while we “smart” people are losing our country. That’s just great—makin’ the Romans proud, we are!
If they aren’t being taught this stuff, in school, or not, then they won’t get it by just breathing in and out, will they?
It’s time to go to work, folks.
Practice patriotism. Teach freedom!
Reinforces my belief that only grandpas should be allowed to vote.
Hard to watch, man, hard to watch.
Interesting that what trips off the tongue as common knowledge for the Grandpa is COMPLETELY UNKNOWN to his kids and grandkids.
I bet they know all about Martin Luther King Jr. though. There is NO CONTEXT for learning about civil rights unless you learn about the amazing planned free country that is the USA.
Even if you are black and don’t like the fact that back then, the founders felt they had to leave slavery legal, you should understand the wonders of this country and the men who formed the documents and fought the battles to make it happen. Only then can you understand that freedom for the African Americans was part of the journey of this marvelous experiment.
I believe that our education has failed our children for the past 30 or more years, and that it is nearly useless to supply free institutional education.
We need ONE state to do away with public schools, and the other 49 will follow. Each family should be given a sum to cover the education of each child. I suggest $5-6000/year. This is princely for a homeschooled student, but would also cover tuition in the many low-cost private schools that would crop up. If the parent spends the money on crack, so be it. We need to get parental responsibility squarely on the parent. Period.
And what was up with the white chick who thought we became independent from GREECE??
Ignorance is strength.
Well, on the positive side I have to say that I could at least understand those being interviewed. That they could communicate so well was surprising.
I’d bet that all of them could give us an update on Ms. Lohan.
Apathy on display!
