Jessica, 18, is a newly arrived illegal immigrant from Monterrey, Mexico. And based on anecdotal evidence and statewide statistics, she is far from alone.
Mexican nationals appear to be entering Oklahoma illegally as steadily as ever for work, family and sanctuary from a violent homeland.
Clutching fake documents, Jessica crossed the border checkpoints undetected. She reunited with her father who had been living in Oklahoma illegally for years. Today she attends an Oklahoma City high school and dreams of becoming a teacher.
Violence in Mexico has skyrocketed since December 2006, when President Felipe Calderon deployed federal police to battle warring drug cartels on the border. The Mexican government estimates the death toll at more than 22,700.
"People are trying to flee the violence, said Michael Brooks-Jimenez, an Oklahoma City attorney whose services are sought by Mexican immigrants. "Every week I have families come to me, asking if there is a way they can legally obtain asylum for an uncle or a sibling who owns a business and is being threatened with extortion or death.
"Sadly, I tell them all the same thing. There's nothing we can do.

Ah. the start of the “ political refugee” dodge.
Maybe its time they armed themselves and took their country back instead of trying to claim this one.
Personally I think a declaration that illegals are refugees will be Obama’s next trick.
Well, I must say that Oklahoma has some of the BEST Mexican food in the country!
You mean these people???????????
Phoenix, Arizona features an astounding annual car theft rate of 57,000 vehicles and has become the new Car Theft Capital of the World.
U.S. law enforcement authorities claim that there are now over 1 million members of criminal gangs inside the country. These 1 million gang members are responsible for up to 80% of the crimes committed in the United States each year.
Here they are !!! Take a look !!!
More information on the wonderful illegals now inside our country thanks to the Demoncrats ...
Take a look at this FBI Wanted for Murder List to see how wonderful diversity is !!!

About 90% Hispanic, for those who don’t wish to count (or see all their ugly mugs)

ah yes, they are all coming here to seek the American dream
except in Spanish
and with Mexican holidays and flags
and Obamanomics will drive them to Mexico, or shall we say, ‘walk’;)
They are a small state in population and will be quickly overwhelmed and taken over, much faster than California and Texas.
The problem is that the criminals are coming over the border too. They are bringing their violence to this countries. And, despite what you hear, many Mexicans romanticise the drug culture.
OMG!
What I don't get is that the "Reconquista" movement as practiced by groups like La Raza seek to replace "foreign" "Anglos" with an indigenous "Bronze" population. But, yeah, they speak the language of their European conquerors (Spanish) and want to keep the Establishment in place while installing their own apparatchiks in the institutions of power. None of that sounds like a return to the sort of Paradise their "People" supposedly enjoyed before Europeans came to North America.
Well, its going to suck for them the first time they go to an ER and find out about the stricter documentation status. OK is slashing Medicaid and public health worse than AZ or LA. They may be lucky to get a bandaid and be sent home. If there is any extra money to be spent on public health in OK, it will go to the Indians, I guaran-damn-tee it. And it will more than likely be the Indians who will, in the end, drive the illegals out of OK.
Sorry, amigo, but this is our land.....
“Violence in Mexico has skyrocketed since December 2006, when President Felipe Calderon deployed federal police to battle warring drug cartels on the border. The Mexican government estimates the death toll at more than 22,700.”
Let that sink in for a minute.
“What I don’t get is that the “Reconquista” movement as practiced by groups like La Raza seek to replace “foreign” “Anglos” with an indigenous “Bronze” population. But, yeah, they speak the language of their European conquerors (Spanish)...”
Ignorance. Don’t confuse them with the facts.
I love the way FReepers consistently nail the real summary to news stories in the first few posts.
Nicely done.
They need to change their own country - and their attitudes. Mexico is rich in resources, yet like the majority of former Spanish colonies (and Spain itself), its economy is in the trash barrel. Those northern European attitudes (like valuing education and getting to work on time) that so mamy minorites despise are exactly what built this country.
Replace the “CAUTION” sign with “BOUNTY”? < /sarc >
THE SCAM'S END GAME The Mexican "drug war" seems to be orchestrated to get columns of shock troops on US soil to start Reconquista.....in exchange for giving Dems illegal votes.
THE RIPOFF UP CLOSE A Social Security category provides outrageous government financial aid to "refugees" claiming "persecution from drug violence." These phonies never paid a dime into the SS system; yet, they can collect seven years straight...... and can get extended payments if they are politically well-connected. The SS checks can amount to $1000 a month, and more.
In fiscal year 2008, the US government received 47,459 asylum claims and granted 10,743 - a decrease over the previous year's 54,957 applications and 12,807 approvals.
We need to see the emails, phone records and textings of the Ohaha admin to determine whether the Ovomitons are in collusion with the Mexican government, taking orders from foreigners in order to pull off this scam to get voters for the Nov elections.

MORE WAYS THAN ONE TO DRAIN THE US TREASURY Illegals are also crying "domestic violence" to collect. "How are asylum authorities going to substantiate these claims when we know that domestic violence is a complicated thing," said Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the advocacy group Federation for American Immigration Reform. "This is getting the US into personal relationships, and that's not where asylum law ought to go."
Mehlman said his organization opposed expanding the asylum law (which was created in 1980 largely as a means for Communist Bloc citizens to defect while visiting the US in a diplomatic role.) Backers of the law at the time estimated that claims would average around 5,000 a year and drop off significantly after the Cold War ended.
WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THIS BEFORE? Immigration attorneys insist that "asylum" applications won't spike if the administration expands protection to battered Mexican women.
