Does anybody else roll their eyes when they see “tea party” capitalized, as if it’s a real, trademarked organization with “leaders”, etc.? I swear the rats are hard at work through their newsrooms (and with a lot of help from clownish political wannabes and libertarian malcontents) to turn the effective tea party protests of 2009 into “The Tea Party”, until it becomes the same kind of marginal laughingstock the “Move On” campaign evolved into ten years ago.
“Tea partiers” are individuals from across the nation who briefly “organized” a few times in order to shout as one at a corrupt and disgraceful government agenda of communist health care and the drunken waste of tax dollars. The “tea partiers” are still out there and they will vote because they are inspired to do so, but I doubt 95% of them give a rat’s behind about being called “tea partiers”. I know I sure don’t.
This effort by some people to turn the “tea partiers” (aren’t we all “tea partiers” here?) into a real live, ongoing “organization” with a convention and “leaders” and all the rest of the bells and whistles is stupid. It’s old already - - time to put the phrase “tea partiers” to rest. The battle has been joined and “tea partiers” will continue to shout (and vote!) for a return to sanity, and they need no label to do so.
Well in this case it appears the folks calling for the ostracism of Mr. Williams were being more extremist (and captive to political correctness to boot). In situations like this, reasonable people have debates rather than fly off the handle. I’d be asking, how did these yahoos calling for ostracism get to be head of this amorphous Tea Party anyhow? Who died and make them kings and queens? I’ve often wondered with an organization for the “advancement” of any minority, when do they say “goal attained?” and shouldn’t they at least be honest about the reason for the problem?
Sounds like Christina Botteri has her Miss Bossy Pants on.
One problem is that the Tea Party Express is the entity that has and is backing Sharron Angle for Nevada Senator Reid's seat. I believe another Tea Party group was backing one of her primary opponents so there may be some bad blood there. In any event we don't need division and a fight over power and personalities just a few short months from the election.
NAACP is Pity Party racist.
So the Tea Party has now become a PC caricature.

FDR was allied to Stalin, etc. Winning movement bury the hatchets and unify to defeat an enemy. CNN and the dem party are succeeding in dividing the Tea Party movement when they elicit a response such as from the so-call Tea federation nacionale etc.
but the Left and their control of dems....they and their sycophants in the media never stop in their attempt to BRAND the one movement that they fear most with the label RACIST.
Now some idiot at the National Federation of Tea folds into the BRANDING.
Here’s the alleged offense:

“Asked to tell racists “you’re not welcome” in the tea party, Williams replied, “Racists have their own movement. It’s called the NAACP.””
And here’s the frustration that Mark Williams was describing:

I’m not going to preface every sentence I say for the rest of my life, by the way, we’re not racists. By the way, I don’t beat my wife. WILLIAMS: Racists have their own movement. It’s called the NAACP.
Perhaps the peons will wisely ignore the high muckety mucks especially when they are self-elevated. “If we do not hang together, we will most assuredly hang separately.”
I am a one man Tea Party. I don’t need to belong to anything, I can raise hell with my local politicans all on my own.

I have never heard of them either ... I don’t know if they are that big a deal or not.
Was hoping someone with more knowledge of the Tea Party groups would explain this to me.
