I've been suggesting this for blighted areas of Detroit for a long time- use these old buildings for police, fire, search and rescue, or military training. It would be even better if they invited other state and federal agencies to participate for a small fee that would go into cleaning up the city.

I can't wait, because Lansing will get it's first Sonic on that site!
I haven't been this excited since the White Castle opened up in South Lansing!

Oh wait, nevermind. I am thinking about the
Governor's Inn in South Lansing that is being torn down to make way for a Sonics.
This story is about the former Motel 6 in Downtown Lansing. That place was scary.

both places needed to go. sonic will be nice when i drive to that end of town for a movie, but i can’t imagine anything worthwhile going up at the site of the deluxe. bad neighborhood, not all that accessible.

The only time we venture down there is for Silver Bells In The City tree lighting. We usually park around there. Its the only time I feel safe around there, though.

I haven’t been this excited since the White Castle opened up in South Lansing!
Enjoy it while you can. White Castle issued a projection the other day that when fully implemented Obamacare will reduce it’s net profits by 55%. That will put them on the ash heap of history next to Red Barn and Burger Chef.
