If Democrats lose control of one or both houses, Obama will probably have an easier time in 2012, just as Bill Clinton used Newt Gingrich and the Republicans as the foil for his 1996 reelection campaign.

If the Republicans control the House in 2010, they can stop Zero in his tracks simply by refusing to fund his programs. They can't repeal. That takes two-thirds of both houses (to override a veto). But the House does have veto power over spending.

The question is, Can a GOP House dig in its heals and force Zero to play ball without, in the process, pissing off enough sheeple to reelect Zero?

You can’t beat somebody with nobody. It will take a strong GOP candidate in 2012, and no one currently fits the bill. IMHO.
