Well from everything I have been reading plus all you excellent articles you post they are saying the rest of the world is preparing for war while our Sham-WoW-Guy in Chief of the US is dismantling our military and our congress, whose main priority is to protect our nation,is helping to do it. These are scary times for America. It is like all of our enemies are circling us sensing our demise at the hands of progessives in our own government and are ready to strike when the time is ripe.

Russia is always glad to sell anything to anyone. It doesn’t help them any. See Iraq...or Syria.

The French were going to help the Iraqis build a reactor. Does that mean the Iraqis would have never used the resultant product on the French? Of course not.

The reason why they sell everything to everyone because if they don’t their economy will sink. They are raking billions of dollars selling junk.

you are talking nonsense. military equipment sales make up only 3% of the total russian exports.

Russia is the world’s second largest conventional arms exporter after the United States. In 2008, the Russian defence companies delivered over $8 billions’ worth of arms to foreign customers. The most popular types of weaponry bought from Russia are Sukhoi and MiG fighters, air defense systems, helicopters, tanks, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles Aviation products make up about half of the country’s arms exports

from the article you linked:

“Total Russian arms sales were set to top $8.5 billion in 2009”

from the cia world factbook, total russian exports:

“Exports: $303.4 billion (2009 est.)”

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/rs.html

So, 8.5 billion out of 303.4 billion is only 2.8%. Based on such a low arms exports share of the total russian exports, one can hardly say that Russsian economy will sink unless they continue selling weapons.

The Russians must not be exporting weapons to get that low number. The Russian military-industrial complex employs 20 percent of all manufacturing jobs in Russia

“Then explain to me why its the second largest exporter of weapons in the world?”

What does that have to do with anything?
Russian economy would not sink even if they stopped all of their arms exports this very day. 2,8% of the total exports are peanuts.

Yes, it does. It tells me that they are selling a lot of weapons to earn the numer two spot in arms exporting. If they are selling a lot of weapons they are raking a lot of cash.

there is no question 8.5 billion dollars is a lot of cash, but it still is only 2.8% of the cash Russia is making on its exports.
Russia in no way “has to keep selling weapons in order to keep its economy from sinking” which was your claim. They could do perfectly fine with the rest of their exports (295 billion dollars)
