I’ll bet it’s the CARBS....just like for some Spanish people...

Yep. Hispanics eat a lot of corn-based stuff. I definitely believe in the high-protein, low-carb diet. My only point of wonderment is how Asians can eat so much rice and still stay so thin. I've seen Chinese guys that actually work at like a Panda Express or something, and at lunch break they'd get a huge bowl of rice and just shovel it down, day after day. (I used to work at the mall.) And they were skinny little dudes! I don't get it...

Ask him: http://www.wushukicks.com/chinese-martial-arts/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/jet-li-wushu.jpg

I am sure that many of them do martial arts. Plus running around on their feet all day burn calories.

I don't know about the Chinese diet but in Japan and Korea, their rice serving bowls are a lot smaller than ours and they eat lots of meat or fish with veggies.

For example, most Korean BBQ is served with either lettuce or sesame leaves on the sides. You can avoid the rice all together.

You take a little piece of meat, add some veggies, garlic and ssamjang or gochujang and roll it up like a burrito and pop it in your mouth. Samgyeopsal Gui Recipe – Korean BBQ Pork Belly
