Social liberals wanting to claim the "Tea Party" movement as their own. This debate continues. Thinking that the fedgov can be "values neutral" is as fantastical as thinking that education can be "values neutral". There is no "neutral" with values or morals. There is real morality - the moral absolutes as enjoined in all the religions of the world, and on the other side there is immorality, as espoused by the feminists, homosexualists, abortionists, porn afficiandos, NAMBLA, the "sex positive" crowd, Planned Parenthood, the various death cultists who want euthanasia, and the like.

Neutral ground? There is none. It's a mere excuse for standing on the side of immorality.

I understand the tea party folks to be a movement and not an organization. If it’s become an organization, then someone has coopted it’s name and incorporated. There are no leaders....or followers for that matter. If they’re primarily angry about the over-reach of big government, and that’s what brought them together, then fine. As the article says, there might be all types inside such an amorphous movement.

HOWEVER, as soon as it gets to supporting candidates for office, true conservatives will stand firm: pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, pro-family, pro-morals, pro-fiscal common sense, pro-America, pro-national defense, pro-military, pro-American exceptionalism.

I’ll not support, and I’ll actively work against, anyone who isn’t the above, and especially pro-life.
