Racial Politics: The NAACP, in crafting a resolution condemning racism in the Tea Party movement, seems to have forgotten those Black Panthers with clubs intimidating voters and wanting to kill white people.
The "angry mobs" that reshaped the 2010 political landscape are angry white racist mobs, at least according to a resolution proposed by the NAACP at its annual convention this week in Kansas City, Mo.
The resolution calls on "all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era," said Anita Russell, head of the Kansas City chapter of the NAACP. "We need to realize it's really not about limited government." We suppose "tax cuts" is also code for racism.
The resolution comes after the late Sen. Robert C. Byrd, former grand kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan, was honored for his service to the nation that included leading the filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act, supported in greater percentages by Republicans in the House and Senate.
It also comes as the Civil Rights Commission tries to unravel why the Obama administration refuses to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party who in 2008 stood outside a Philadelphia polling place, dressed in paramilitary garb, one brandishing a nightstick, and saying things like, "You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker!"
One of the Black Panthers involved, King Samir Shabazz, can be seen in a 2009 National Geographic documentary interview saying: "You want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies." Or at least those racists who opposed ObamaCare.

Note to self: next tea party rally I attend, abstain from making all those racist comments I never made in the first place.
This claim is pretty much all the Black Klan members have in their bag of political chicanery. Jesse, Al, and Farrkhan have made millions off the same ploy that the stupid will swallow like stink-bait.
Don’t be deceived, the race card has tremendous political clout—the gullible suck this down like a raw clam. This fact did more to put a corrupt chicago african in the white house than any single attribute. Make no mistake about it. Racism is made out to be far more important than reality supports. The media has built this statue with the help of race-baiters in hollywood and organizations like naacp, la raza, and the southern poverty shysters. Does anyone remember why oj simpson walked free?
Yes he did. He was a guest on Hannity last night and had four different angles of the alleged encounter, and no one got within ten feet or so and no racial slurs were heard.
I remember seeing video footage of Pelosi and her oversized gavel, striding through the crowd with members of the CBC trying to instigate a confrontation.
Now I wish someone had taken that gavel away from her and whacked her upside the head just for being obnoxious.
You had to know this was coming.
No, you're not.
You're American, and these f-ing socialists aren't
Good reply. When I was at the TEA party at the Alamo, there were a lot of African and Hispanic Americans in attendance, along with the white Americans. There were also several Asian Americans.
Ha,ha,ha,ha! You are probably right. I am anticipating becoming cheered by the results of the November elections.
I refer to myself as an American of African descent. In my life time I have been a negro, colored, African-American and black. Those terms do not include all of the pejoratives.
In a way it doesn’t matter. Everyone knows who is being referred to.It really bothers me that so many of my people support this third world Muslim in the White House. That support is based on his color and that makes it racist.
But not every black person who voted for Obama saw beyond the fact that having the opportunity to vote for a black president represented unbelievable progress.
I am curious about how many black people vote for Obama the next time around. You pay a price in the community for being conservative. But I know many blacks, most of them Christians, who will not vote for Obama the next time around. Time will tell.
“You pay a price in the community for being conservative.”
Well, it’s worth it because you have the self respect to live a decent life. Better than fitting in and being trash.

Well put, my friend. The attempt to convert America to a socialist "democracy" aside, the other enormous tragedy is Obama's missed opportunity -- as a result of ego, philosophy, upbringing, whatever -- to exhibit historical leadership of the world's greatest republic. It is truly sad.
You raise interesting points, Skip. My big hope out of all of this mess is that folks of varying shades are finally able to come out of the conservative closet into which they’ve self-exiled themselves due to repercussions from group-think members that share the same pigment.
Hubby has chatted to a couple of ladies at work who agree with conservative principles, but have flat out stated they can’t say so within ‘their community’.
Maybe we are getting to the point that folks will be brave and out with their thoughts. Bet they’ll be surprised to find out how many people agree with them!
The other thing that no one wants to seem to say, is that some of these so-called ‘black’ organizations seem to be leaning very lefty/Islamist.
Black women, by and large are very, very strong. Just don’t see Christian black women rolling over and walking three feet behind a man. Thank God.
I'm 6'8", 265lb and I carry a weapon. I'm usually only harrassed by family at Thanksgiving.
Oh, well, that's legal. Good luck!

I grew up in Florida in the 1960s. One hot summer day my Uncle Willard offered to pay my brothers and me to rake the leaves in the yard. My brothers were lazy and said no. I was more than happy to take the opportunity to make some cash so I spent hours raking leaves while my brothers played. When I had completed the task I was rewarded with a dollar and I walked the ¼ mile to the local 7/11 and bought a bunch of penny candy. When I returned home my brothers wanted my candy. I refused and told them I worked hard for this candy while they played. Uncle Willard witnessed this and was livid. He called me stingy and ordered me to share my candy, the candy I worked for while others did not. Uncle Willard was a democrat.
FreeStateYank:
There are conservatives in the black community who stand up. A while back I was pleased to see a group of pastors on TV, black and Hispanic, who were from Philadelphia. That was before the election in 2004. They stated that they intended to return to their churches and preach from the pulpit that no Christian should vote for a Party that supported homosexual marriage and abortion.
I left Philly in 2000 when I retired and moved to Western Montana, but my conservative friends and I used to confront knee jerk liberal black Black Democrats with regularity. Of course there are those who do not want to argue with ignorant people who don’t have a clue about what the liberal Democrats have done to us.
Unfortunately idiots like that guy at the NAACP conference and lunatics like the New Black Panther Party moron at the voting site in Philly get all of the exposure.
You are right when you point out that lots, probably most of the organizations like the NAACP are radically leftist. That goes for the prostitutes in the Congressional Black Caucus. Many of those betrayers of the dream of MLK also belong to an international Socialist organization.
I agree that many black women are strong. There is a problem there because so many of them are stuck firmly on the Democratic Party plantation.
