If I recall correctly from the Founder’s Friday show about George Whitfield, Whitfield was a strong proponent of individual salvation as a means of achieving collective salvation.

That’s a big difference from thinking that America can only achieve collective salvation through collective means

Whitefield was a staunch Calvinist so such a view would be expected to be the foundation of his views on salvation. Athough, this is a "basic Christianity" issue and Christiandom has been uniform in this belief for 2000 years for the most part.
