Oakland doesn’t like Cops, but I bet they miss them.

Yes. Typical government scare tactics. Get rid of police and fire FIRST. Don’t touch the real deadbeat — social “services.”

And I suppose it NEVER enteres anyone’s mind for a second that possibly Junior Assistant Vice Administrators, Ministers of Diversity, and the entire staff of the Bureau of Self-Esteem could be axed.

Close, but let me guess: further increases made to social services by the City of Oakland for the families of laid-off cops.

AJ warned us about this part of the plan years ago, most couldn't see past his rage and became prejudice(yes, I was a bit skeptical and annoyed too, but I kept listening & taking notes), but it's all happening just as his research laid it out.

This whole situation is as predictable as night following day. Taxes are NEVER enough in the liberal mind, because the trough keeps attracting agendas that suck it dry. So then they cut essential services. Crime will increase (without any police response) and anarchy prevails. But heaven forbid anyone PROTECT himself. They’ll certainly find the time and resources to prosecute THAT.

Good luck finding ammo. Alameda County won’t even let you buy ammunition at the local Wal-Mart.

Oakland, prior to any lay offs, had 68 police officers who made more then $175,000 per year, 22 of whom make over 200K.

Of the $42,000,000 annual city payroll, over $10,000,000 is paid out in OT.

The city stinks from the top down.

From the webpage of the Oakland Police Department:
"The Oakland Police Department invites you to join our team of talented and dedicated professionals in a highly-regarded department that is primed for your advancement. With opportunities ranging from Community Policing to K-9 and helicopter patrol, every day is fresh and exciting. And Justice pays. Starting salaries are among the highest in the state - over $70k + rich benefits package. Ranked among the best cities in the nation to live and work, today's Oakland is dynamic, cutting-edge and on the move."

Overpaid, underworked, overstaffed union rules clockwatchers. Fire them all like Reagan did the air traffic controllers and bring in new ones.

Better yet, just let Oakland burn.
