Sorry, I didn’t see that you had posted the video. I had my kids watch it as well and like to review it on occasion to remind myself.
Your percentages could be argued but I like the approach. The mix probably depends on the area, small town Nebraska vs Philly.

Absolutely. It would depend on racial, social, economic demographics, population, urban vs. suburban. But that’s the way I’ve seen it in my lifetime, as I have worked with police a lot. I have the utmost respect for the “good guys” which I have worked with, but I consider most to be an average joe, with a bit of a bully streak, and not to rub the wrong way.
I’ve found that about half are normal people, but will abuse their power when upset, but that’s characteristic of, well, normal people...
I would add, that as a kid, LEO’s were very different, and that just as our military is being sabotaged at every turn (unclear goals, underfunding, repeal of DADT), that so the police are being groomed to be the strong arm of the new political class. What once was a (in my belief) noble profession, is anything but not, and getting worse by the day. I would note that the 3 officers in this case are relatively new, I think the most experienced has 5 years (IIRC). Very telling in my opinion. The “good guys” are being phased out, and the upstarts are taking over. Time will tell.
