Again - cops are not military, they are not rock stars, they are not overlords, they are not masters, they are not wardens of a jail.
Cops are supposed to serve the public who pays their salaries, benes, pensions, etc., nothing more, nothing less.
Then whose job is it to enforce the law?
Enforcing what laws? Traffic laws? Or writing reports after the fact and then generating 4 hours of OT in the process?
It's EVERYONE'S job. Cops are supposed to be people like us, that we just pay to do what we all should do but don't have time.
They are certainly NOT a new class of citizen, with different rights and responsibilities than the rest of us. The problem is that they increasing think and act like they are.
