LOL, apparently Jesse tried to shake down the Cavs and got rebuffed.

Strange, I saw the Cavs owner's comments as more of a liberal perspective, overlooking the fact that contract obligations were met and when he was contractually able, LeBron made a capitalistic decision. Go for the bucks.

And why not? LeBron’s window of making the big bucks is getting smaller as he ages. He needs to clean up now.

Jackson is a race baiter who wouldn't have a career if those like him didn't keep the racial tension alive. Perhaps “Mr.” Jackson should mind the splinter in his own eye.......

it seems Jesse Jackson was very quiet when Dan Rather said Obama “couldn’t sell watermelons if you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic”

The one, and I mean the only benefit of having obama as annointed one is that he almost completely crowds The Reverend out of the (Chicago) news. Don't see much of him anymore; editors don't seem all that interested. That's always a good thing.

"This is surely the first time I’ve ever agreed with JJ; LeBron is a “Free Agent.” Note the word “Free,” Cleveland has no ownership rights to LeBron."

I don't think you agree with JJ: you are talking about different things. You claim, correctly, that James is free to go, whereas JJ states that someone views him as a slave. These are two entirely different things.

LeBron made a capitalistic decision. Go for the bucks.

Not really the reason. It was more an ego decision. See article below. He wants to win a title. Even though he told Cleveland fans a while back that he wasn't a title chaser. A title in Miami isn't going to make him more bucks than a title in Cleveland.

From Salon article:

Cleveland could offer James $30 million more than any team, but that wasn't what interested James this time. He was willing to make less for something else -- a title. Maybe a bunch of them with the 28-year-old Wade and 26-year-old Bosh in their primes.

"It's about a team," James said.
