Mel was flying high until he did the "Christ" movie, and they've been trying to "palinize" him ever since...so this doesn't surprise me.

But, I like Mel, I like his movies; I still buy his movies. I'm not going to be judgemental on the "N" word until the black rappers stop using it, and until someone pounces on the Black Panthers for their racial epithets.

I'm tired of this one-way crap...what's good for the goose, is good for the Amish.

Exactly. BO and his wookie wife are racists, but they get a pass.

Mel has problems, but it’s interesting that he is being selectively crucified while others (like Roman Polanski) are glorified.

Mel is white and a Christian. Let’s destroy him

“I’m tired of this one-way crap...what’s good for the goose, is good for the Amish.”

I’m with you. Gibson’s been under attack for years, especially for Passion. But, since he’s an evil white male, he’s expected to be held to an impossibly higher standard than, say, Snoop Dogg or Lisa Lampinelli. Gibson’s excesses are certainly not unusual for the cesspool that is Hollywood, but in his case, the LA Times just can’t wait to declare his career dead.

I will always be in awe of Braveheart, and more importantly, The Patriot. These stunning works mean much more to me than him using the “N word” in a private conversation or getting drunk and calling a cop a “Jay Oh Oh” while under the influence.

Let’s get a grip.

I agree, FrankR. The accolades given to KKK Byrd are another good example of rewriting history to suit one’s agenda. There is such feigned outrage among Libs on this issue. I hear the N word all the time, but it’s black on black, NOT whites trashing blacks. I do think that Mel is emotionally off the rails. I’d love for him to experience redemption. There’s a genius and goodness about him. Don’t know where it is right now.
