Notice how this recession, the recession of 90-91, 81-82, 1980, 1973-75, recessions of the 60’s, were all presided over a Democrat Congress?

Yes. . .and while everything has to be cyclic as things are not static; it IS interesting, as you note, that the worst - and longest - down cycles correspond with Democrats in control. . .
It can be noted too, that our latest downturn began it's out-of-control slide with the Pelosi/Reid Congress. (And of course, credit must be given to the Dems for the 'thing in itself'. . .their earlier determination that people who could not pay for mortgages, 'deserved' to have a mortgage - and if you were a Republican and disagreed, you were white-sheet racist - and hence the Fannie/Freddie debaucle - which really pushed our economy up to the edge of the cliff whereby in a few short months - with a little help from Chuckie Schumer - this Democratic Congress, simply pushed it off, into a 'free fall'.
Lies of convenience and lies of malice; lies for self-servance and self-empowerment at America's expense. Cannot depend on much more from these Lefties. . .
Meantime, Madoff goes to prison and Barney, Chris; Harry and Nancy - and Obama - dance on the grave of America' future.
And yes; the mantra it's Bush's fault still rings; including over the sands of the Gulf where the murmurings of those counting tar balls, can be heard with the intermittent, Bush chant.
