Thank you, Jeff Head. Sarah’s endorsement of her former runningmate has caused a lot of grief here, but her endorsement was not unexpected. In fact, it was anticipated and should not have surprised anyone politically attuned. The trouble is, she is not McCain, but ‘some people’ want to paint her with the same brush despite the facts and I and others are not going to sit still for that. Not on Sarah threads. They can have at it on McCain threads. I’m not interested in ANYTHING McCain.
Poor JD Hayworth. He quit his daytime job to take-on the entrenched, fossil incumbent for the “good of the people” not only of just Arizona but also nationwide, so where is his support in both money and grassroots?
MAYBE his campaign will take-off when it counts -— after the upcoming televised debates in just a few days. MAYBE he can catch the BIG MO when it counts. Let’s pray and hope and donate more if possible and get out the vote. It’s up to Arizona voters, not Sarah Palin, not the other pols who endorsed JD’s opponent.
I agree with evrything you said my FRiend, but in this instance askingbthem to registervwill get the bulk of them to self-deport.
Itvdepends on what the terms of the registration are, and she needs to lay that out in no uncertain terms quickly. If it were, “I you register you will have 3-6 months to leave and we will not take anything and ease your path out,” that is one thing. Anything rewarding them with in essence participation in a guest worker program for tw years or something like that would be wholly unacceptable.
But she said she would not reward them.
Thank you!
Better yet, you register and we’ll give you six months to leave...and you will be eligible for legal immigration consideration at the end of the line.
You don’t register and we catch you, you will be criminally prosecuted and deprived of everything. Bank accounts in this country, home, etc. And taken to the border after serving your time and handed back over as you arev with the clothes on you back, with no considerAtion for legal immigration and a much longer prison stay if we catch you again...and we will be seriously looking for them.
End the anchor baby provision, end all welfare and health coverage outside of true medical emergencies.
Look, the troll is back!
Great stuff Jeff, thanks for posting it.
I agree, right now she is the only one on the National scene that is standing for her principles and the principles of conservatism.
FRegards,
SZ
Welcome back Jeff.
I think the legitimate fear is that a registration would include a temporary worker program, which is a reward.
I hope that's not what she means.
I agree, that would be a reward and a big mistake.
It needs to be a program where those who register have 3-6 months to get their affairs in order and leave peaceably. IOW, self deport.
If I recall correctly, O’Reilly is the one who has been pushing for this registration program of the illegals. I think, in the back of his mind he’s hoping that he can squeeze out a workers program for these people. That’s what H-1B visas are for, isn’t it?
Basically, allowing illegal immigration into the US is nothing more than direct foreign aid to Mexico and their economy. Better yet, it’s a program that is guaranteed to be free from corrupt politicians in the Mexican administration. LOL
What burns my butt is that we’re helping a culture that wants to win back five states without having to fight a war for them.
We’re hoping Bachmann stays here to drive Minnesota liberals into frothing paroxysms of paranoia. (Actually, she and Sarah are doing a good job of driving the whole country’s liberals into frothing paroxysms of paranoia.) And she is God’s merciful antidote to endure the ignominy that is Al Franken.
Thanks for the thread and get well soon.
I don’t mind creating a guest worker program as long as:
1. It does not inlude ANY illegal entrants.
2. It is limited in nature to the length of stay, no longer than 18-24 months.
3. It does not allow for families to join the workers.
4. There is no path to citizenship for those in the program.
5. No anchor baby provision. Pregnancy (either way) is grounds for deportation.
6. Outside of emergency medical services, no medical welfare.
7. No social security benefit, though they have to pay in.
8. No welfare options. If they can’t make enough, go home.
When you’re done, you go home. No extensions. If you want to immigrate here, get in that line at the back...and it is a wholly different line.
You are welcome...and I will. I have an immediate 8 weeks of painful rehab...but it’s a path that leads back to health and life, albeit with some mild left over handicaps.
What’s to keep the ‘worker’ working at the job that he came across to do? Just like now, he’d slip off and go to work mowing lawns as a private contractor.
There’s no penalties for not following the rules and we can’t afford to lock up five million of these people.
Sweet! ...Welcome Back
I don’t see the solution to a feasible workers program. Men are going to want to party on Friday nights. Then there is going to be a herd of prostitutes servicing these guys. If he marries one, now he’s allowed to stay in the US. Stay married for five years and get a divorce. Then we can’t kick him out. Great workers program!
Sorry but the social costs of a workers program is too great for us. Pay higher wages and get Americans to do the work.
The terms of the program simply have to preclude that. Get a some woman pregnant, or if avfemalevworker becomes pregnant, you go back home with no legal rights to any US benefit...and no anchor baby citizenship...they’d have to sign away any rights like that coming in, or they are not accepted.
In addition, any employer using such work would have to prove that it does not displace American workers.
You don’t lock thrum up. You get most to self deport. The ones who do not, you put to work on the border building or maintaing the border fence under strict watch. They are serving time, but the cost of upkeep is cheap in tents in Arizona eating peanut butter and jelly.
Concerning Sarah and illegal immigration: I think she is stating her position in as "soft" of terms as possible. She is pragmatic and knows that she can't go "hard" in her statements. This gal has to walk a tight rope every time she opens her mouth. One mistake and she would be destroyed. If she says secure the border, enforce the law and create a climate that causes them to self deport, then we can feel pretty sure that she will go after them and settle the problem for good. She surely needs our prayers. I do fear for her safety.
I hear you on that, dear rhema!
