My opinion of Sarah just took a dent. She was on Bill O'Reilly's show and he quizzed her about her opinion, in his overbearing fashion, on how to deal with the illegal alien problem.
I'm afraid it seemed instantly obvious that either she has not spent five minutes looking into the issue and talking to people who actually know something about the problem or she has and is keeping her real plans secret a la Chris Christie.
She did not bring up any specifics or actual ideas and plans and basically let Blowhard Bill lead her around by the nose for seven minutes. They then concluded with some meaningless cheery sentiments about the mama grizzlies and concluded. BOR moved on.
I realize she is busy building up chits playing kingmaker and tweeting and all that but I would like to at least see and hear some evidence that she is doing some serious policy formulation and (if she does run for prez) will have a battle plan on day one.
Appearing on Bill's show for barely enough time to smile and chirp for less than ten minutes is decidedly discouraging to people like myself, who desperately want to take her seriously.
"So you've closed the borders, now you have ten million people sitting here looking at you, what are you going to do about them?" "Make them register?"
"Well, I, uh.."
She should not have set herself up like that. Bill barely gave her enough time to recite the Pledge of Allegiance but she could have gotten her message across if she had had a message.
Not good.
I saw this (her) clip on FNC when it was originally aired. I listened closely and what she said was “You don't talk about amnesty now because it will just make the problem worse”. What she never said was “We can never grant amnesty because...” . Given her position (with McCain) in 2008 for amnesty, and her support of McCain now and Republican history, conservatives have a duty to be very skeptical of careful wordage coming from her.
But as I said : Sarah Palin was 100% supportive of Arizona law and Brewer from the beginning and deserves credit for it.
See comment # 71 or are you lacking in reading comprehention.
It’s all right there.
Ahh lets see here.....!
First he asked a question that has no one word answer then he talks over his guest be it he or she.....so what's new?
He then brings on a weak defender and a basher and lets them go at it for five minutes until he acts like he is regaining control, talks over them and shuts everyone up while he closes out the segment and advertises the next one.
This has been his shtick for some 11 years, and he honed it when he hosted that Magazine show on ABC.
I saw nothing tonight that was unusual, and Sarah did as well as most but could have been better prepped if she plans to do any more of this.
You can play the BS games all you want....
Palin is it pal....that’s all we got...anyone else is a sure loser...I dont care who you trot out...
Palin is the ONLY reason I even voted in 08’
“Obama pals around with terrorists” Palin
Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty.
Funny how that last euphemistic evasion always disappears from the quote.
Hip boots time.

And you’ve already been corrected...mccains position on the date you cite is NO AMNESTY.
That dog wont hunt lady...
You are being kind.
No, they're just for a McPath to citizenship.
On the date? Now that's pathetic.
Ok...enlighten me...who would you support who is actually going to run?
Stop throwing poop and put up a name...
Who's on the primary ballot so far?
“mccains position on the date you cite is NO AMNESTY.
On the date? Now that’s pathetic.”
No ..it’s called a fact...
See post #80.
Tell us who you would support that will actually go for it...
You arent shy about who you dont want...who DO you want?
That his positions shift with the wind. You shot yourself in the foot. And that's pathetic.
“Who’s on the primary ballot so far?”
Ah I see...you got nothing....
You got Mr. and Mrs. McRINO.
Dance dance dance....
Talk about pathetic.....you cant even back anyone until they make the primary...
So if Palin gets in the race...and wins the nom...you will stay home?
The fact is...on the date she keeps throwing up “May 27 2010”...Mclame is against amnesty...a position which palin supports...
If you are going to take useless potshots...you can at least be honest about it...
As I said, there are probably several reasons McCain has changed his stance on amnesty:
1. His reelection (obviously)
2. Greater nationwide opposition
3. Perhaps seeing how the situation has deteriorated in Arizona in the past three years (Mexican Mafia, murders, kidnappings, etc.) have had an effect
