The idea behind "Mellow Yellow" was that if you scraped the insides of a banana peel, dried it and smoked it, it would get you high. This turned out to be untrue.

The late Murray Roman, a comic of the period, explained that the United Fruit Company saw a warehouse full of rotting bananas, and someone said, "Maybe if we get this really groovy guy to say to people that you can get high from smoking bananas, we can get rid of all this fruit."

That unusual effect heard on the organ at the beginning is called “phasing”. In the old days, you had to play two recordings at the same time, one a fraction of a second behind the other, to get the effect. Today it’s all done electronically.

It was understood that the burning was not on the surface,
but trust me.....it helps to coll down.
I have some burning sensation when circulation is an issue and this gel helps.

I DID have one doctor (a neurologist) tell me it COULD be
“positional neuropathy” whatever the heck that is! LOL!
Of course, he didn’t HELP me get rid of the pain! :)
