NASA Administrator Charles Bolden revealed his plans to improve relations between America's space exploration agency and the Muslim world to Al Jazeera before Congress, the Washington Examiner reported.
Bolden called a couple of lawmakers with the news on June 28, after his interview with the Middle East news organization but before it aired, the newspaper reported. "He ran down some of the things from the president's new space policy, and mentioned outreach to Muslims," Rep. Pete Olson, the top Republican on the House Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics recalled to the newspaper. "That stunned me. I didn't believe it."
"NASA ... represents the best of America. Its purpose is not to inspire Muslims or any other cultural entity. These moon rocks will bring us closer to the Muslim community. We should not judge their culture." he said.
HA!
More proof of him born on the planet Vulcan then Hawaii.
Shatner looks more presidential.
BTW. Spock should never be Captain.
That is correct, they have decided not to stone her, but are deciding between cutting her head off or burning at the stake.
BTW, best use of irony in a long while.
As long as they don’t feel bad about themselves. That is what’s important.
I guess there will be some NASA scientists there at the time for support?
Great thread
As the first measure of this new initiative, it has been agreed that the name of the brightest star in the heavens (currently Sirius, otherwise known as the "Dog Star") will be changed immediately to "Barack Hussein Obama", since this would seem to be the most appropriate (sic). When a perplexed science reporter was prompted to ask him- "Sirius?", Golden quickly responded, "Indeed we are!"
In an adjunct policy, an Executive Order was to be issued within a few days, barring the well-known "International Star Registry" from issuing any more star names to the public, as this would conflict with the previous initiative and be insensitive to the Muslim outreach program."
HA!
Thanks!
