THE former lover of a top Brazilian soccer player was allegedly strangled and fed to dogs.

The BBC reported Eliza Samudio, 25, disappeared more than a month ago from a hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

Police said she was taken by force and was strangled in the south-eastern city of Belo Horizonte.

Samudio's remains have not yet been found, but police say her body was cut up and parts were fed to dogs.

The rest of her corpse was allegedly buried under concrete.

Samudio was a former girlfriend of footballer Bruno Fernandes das Dores de Souza, 25 - known to Brazilian soccer fans simply as Bruno - who plays in goal for Brazil's most popular soccer club, Flamengo.

That she was cut up and fed to dogs just really tops the utter degradation of those involved. It is almost to brutal to write/speak of. In her perps defense; she was dead already. (A nice guy, after all. . .) When I first read Drudge headline; it reminded me of Saddam. He of course, gave his disposables over to the dogs. . .to be killed - then eaten.

Life ain't that expensive in Brazil, depending on the area. The cutting up and feed to the dogs was probably included on the price as a bonus
