"Teaching a student about the tenets of a religion is one thing," the student wrote in the e-mail. "Declaring that homosexual acts violate the natural laws of man is another".So believing in what you are teaching is a no no - right?

It’s only wrong to believe what you’re teaching if you believe in traditional (aka “real”) morality.
If you’re a homosexualist, it’s not only fine to believe what you’re teaching, but mandatory!

"Teaching a student about the tenets of a religion is one thing," the student wrote in the e-mail. "Declaring that homosexual acts violate the natural laws of man is another. The courses at this institution should be geared to contribute to the public discourse and promote independent thought; not limit one's worldview and ostracize people of a certain sexual orientation." Obviously U of I is failing in it's obligation to teach students how to THINK.
