Goodluck Jonathan President of Nigeria – Someone conservatives should become familiar with
opinion | 8 July 2010 | Brian Baldwin

On January 2010 a federal court in Nigeria confirmed his role to state affairs while President Umaru Yar’Adua receives Saudi medical treatment. This is someone who conservatives and “in the know” politicos, hosts, players in world affairs and so on, should get to know and to think about.

Here is a Wikipedia link for beginners to get started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodluck_Jonathan

You should understand that this person is very popular on the scene. He is new to the world, and has potential of becoming very important. You should understand him. But as a way of background, he is a member of the ruling People’s Democratic Party which is moderate, central, conservative on social issues and supports free markets. Now, it may not be clear presently, but you can consider that there is a very strong possibility that he will someone we all need to understand and will be a player on the world scene. We need to understand him at this time, and even make some efforts to have dialog with him. He is very, very popular globally among not only Nigerians who are working abroad, but beyond that as well.

He opened a Facebook page at the following address: http://www.facebook.com/jonathangoodluck?v=info#!/jonathangoodluck?v=wall

This opens an opportunity of which if lost may be a mistake. You can see that he wants to use the gifts that technology has given the world, and he wants to do his best. Here is his framing statement on his profile picture on facebook:

My life has always been about service. I am focused on serving my Creator, family and my country to the best of my ability and with your help I aim to be better at doing that.

The time to engage is now. For there are things in this world that can change a man even at his best, and we want to see the best outcome. The opportunity is now. Because there are those who want to change this man, not always for the bes, and there are those who want to befriend this man, and he is a man in himself. The opportunity is now to understand him, and make a difference.

The clock is ticking.

Nigeria is a chaotic, corrupt mess, but it is an important country with a future because of its oil wealth, its geographic size and large population, and as an arena of conflict between Christianity and Islam.

Yar'Adua is dieded.

You can tell the Saudis to cut back on the treatments and to stop cashing his checks.
