I know the idea of Israel cleaning Iran's clock looks good to some from half a world away. But consider the secondary consequences, even supposing Israel does a first-rate job of taking out Iran's nukes, ICBM's, etc.
Firstly, there is Hizbollah in Lebanon, armed by Iran with new, longer range missiles. These would certainly be unleashed at Iran's orders.
Then there is the PA/Hamas, who would create whatever trouble they could.
So Israel would have to fight three enemies.
And of course the US will be blamed, so be prepared for the most serious attack that can be mustered at this time; by whatever Islamic terrorist groups or coalition (there are so many I can't name them all) wants to take the credit for striking the Great Satan.

The risks of the collateral damage you speak of would just increase as time goes by. There is no way to degrade Hizballah without war.
