Sarah Palin isn’t even in the same league as the Gipper, his son’s kneejerk babbling notwithstanding.

No Republican was electable back in 1976 thanks to Nixon. In 1980 Reagan was the best choice. He appealed to a wide audience of people.
Palin doesn’t inspire any such confidence save for her Kool-aid guzzling groupies.
