Ooh, ‘talk in GOP circles’. What the heck does that mean? Other than the MSM and maybe some vichey Repubs want this out there. I’m sure Sarah will have no part of it. She’s doing fine on her own and doing her own thing. Without a GOP leash.

I think an RNC head who has more star-power than the candidates she’s going to be supporting is a bad idea. The RNC head should be a competent spokesman for the GOP, as well as an effective manager, organizer and fund-raiser - not it’s most famous potential presidential candidate.

I think that this would be an awesome spot for Sarah. She might be able to pull the party back together on the right side of the aisle.

What Steele said about Afghanistan is one of the few things I have wholeheartedly agreed with him about. There may be plenty of reasons to find a new head for the RNC, but this would not be one of them.

Meanwhile, Gov. Palin would be putting herself into a straitjacket in terms of what she could or could not say, and who or what policies to endorse, oppose, or ignore if she took this job. It would also put her in the position of needing to appear neutral towards all of the potential candidates for the 2012 nomination. And if she were to step down to run herself she'd be accused of having "fixed" the process in advance.

OF COURSE the party establishment want her to take the job. She shows them to be the fools they are and they want her out of the game entirely. I'd be shocked and disappointed if she fell into such an obvious trap.

I would love to see Sarah as the Chair of the RNC. I feel she is very qualified to run for POTUS in 2012, but being the chair will add more to her credibility to all the wacko doubters out there, as they will see that she is actively involved in the political scene, improving the party, as opposed to just giving speeches.

ON THE OTHER HAND....I doubt she will do it, as she is making a significant mark as a Fox contributor, and I doubt that Fox will let her stay on if she is the RNC chair, due to accusations of bias and stuff.

I hope to see Palin 2012. If not her, then Newt/Jindal 2012, and Palin in the Cabinet. I would also love to see Liz Cheney as SOS....she would rock the establishment and restore respect for the US in the world.

Nice move. I’d love to have her help picking candidates to support. And she hasn’t done badly in that regard. Ths would be a good step for her.

Pissant -

This is the perfect job for your hero - Duncan Hunter, Sr. I am as serious as a heart attack about that.

Rumor has it Palin to replace troubled RNC chair

If she does, will she lose her influence in the Tea Party? Will the Tea Party trust her? Can't have two masters. Which will she choose???

Plante thinks if he puts this out and gets it circulating, Sarah will think she has to do it.

Brilliant plan.

Huge mistake if Palin took that job.

She'd become a large lightening rod with no upside.

Sarah was my first choice when this whole debacle began.

Upon reflection, the only real choice for the Position is Liz Cheney, hands down.

The other issue that will surface “if” Steele is fired will be usual Republicans hate Black People argument.

The Media would push that up until Election Day to the glee of the Rat Party. They are itching for anything to take the spotlight off the Democrat Socialist Agenda and Obama’s complete lack of ability.

This would certainly kill two democrats with one stone.

Palin can raise some money.

It will send the democrats’ blood pressure through the roof!
