Sarah is needed unfettered. RNC chair would be a step down for her on the ladder to the presidency.

I think that this would be an awesome spot for Sarah. She might be able to pull the party back together on the right side of the aisle.

Sarah will never be President, but has the opportunity to get the process of electing the next Republican President in order. She should grab on and run with this job.

What Steele said about Afghanistan is one of the few things I have wholeheartedly agreed with him about. There may be plenty of reasons to find a new head for the RNC, but this would not be one of them.

Meanwhile, Gov. Palin would be putting herself into a straitjacket in terms of what she could or could not say, and who or what policies to endorse, oppose, or ignore if she took this job. It would also put her in the position of needing to appear neutral towards all of the potential candidates for the 2012 nomination. And if she were to step down to run herself she'd be accused of having "fixed" the process in advance.

OF COURSE the party establishment want her to take the job. She shows them to be the fools they are and they want her out of the game entirely. I'd be shocked and disappointed if she fell into such an obvious trap.

I would love to see Sarah as the Chair of the RNC. I feel she is very qualified to run for POTUS in 2012, but being the chair will add more to her credibility to all the wacko doubters out there, as they will see that she is actively involved in the political scene, improving the party, as opposed to just giving speeches.

ON THE OTHER HAND....I doubt she will do it, as she is making a significant mark as a Fox contributor, and I doubt that Fox will let her stay on if she is the RNC chair, due to accusations of bias and stuff.

I hope to see Palin 2012. If not her, then Newt/Jindal 2012, and Palin in the Cabinet. I would also love to see Liz Cheney as SOS....she would rock the establishment and restore respect for the US in the world.

Nice move. I’d love to have her help picking candidates to support. And she hasn’t done badly in that regard. Ths would be a good step for her.

She has a long life ahead of her.

And IMO she needs to get out of her comfort zone.

As I've said before, let Mittens have the job. I hear he's a great little organizer and he loves to glad hand the rich for money. That's what the job is about.

Sarah Palin has other plans.

Plus, Sarah’s already been busy rebuilding the GOP, HER WAY!

The RNC will have to contine with Steele or find their own replacement.

MSM can shove their suggestions for Sarah right up their Obamasses.
