Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is in trouble with many in his party after speaking out against the war in Afghanistan. Some are even calling for him to be removed.
CBS News Senior White House Correspondent Bill Plante reports there's talk in GOP circles that Sarah Palin should replace him.

Exactamundo. She's too Rogue for that job. We've got bigger plans for her and the party bosses know it.
... whatever THAT is supposed to mean.
I agree. I once felt she’d be good for the RNC, but better Palin remain outside that pitiful organization.
I doubt the GOP has the balls to do that.
>> Not under these conditions at this time.
I agree.
Agreed. At this late date they should keep things as they are.
Laura Ingraham should be Steele’s replacement....Think about it, she is perfect for it...

I do like it. She would be good and she would drive it hard. And unlike Lil’ Mikey Tinsel, she does NOT backstab conservatives.
She sure as hell dosn’t need the RNC to scare the hell out of the Liberals. For those suggesting it would be a good thing for Sarah to do WAKE THE F__K UP!
If Palin wants to run for President, this doesn’t seem like the best platform to do it from.
I’ve started wondering if Steele was really a one man DNC sleeper cell all along that wasn’t activated until he became the GOP chairman. How else does one explain his mush-for-brains comments since he became chairman?
My sources tell me Palin will be chair of the RNC within 24 business hours.
I’m with you. The rumor of Palin must have been floated by Steele.
LOL!
I have a feeling She is the enemy to powers at the RNC....they have got to be the most out of touch group around. To them it is all about money and numbers. Even the DNC has it together compared to them.
Agreed. Even if she is “not smart” (which I don’t believe), she is a mental giant compared to Steele. She has proven herself to be a good fund raiser and has never shown herself to be careless with the money she for which she is responsible. It is not a bad thing to have a party leader who is hated by the opposition.

Was?
A conservative woman as head of the RNC is not a bad idea. Dumping on her might invite a political backlash and seen as really really mean spirited.
Sarah Palin: Prez in 2012
Liz Cheney: RNC Chair NOW!
LOL, So you're saying that you don't agree?
