Obama's NASA Chief: Muslim Outreach is My Foremost Mission

RUSH: Now, a lot of people are saying, "Rush, the NASA guy could not possibly have meant it. He couldn't have meant it." Why? The NASA guy said it. What is so hard to believe about the NASA guy meaning it?

Charles Bolden is the NASA guy. It's audio sound bite number 20, Mike, grab this thing. It's last Wednesday on Al Jazeera in English’s Talk to Al Jazeera, host Imran Garda interviewed NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. Now, keep in mind here, folks -- oh, and wait 'til you hear what Obama said about Dependence Day on Sunday. You think that I am wrong when I tell you his mission is to return the nation's wealth to its, quote, unquote, rightful owners. Stand by. Now, remember what NASA has become under Obama. No longer about space exploration, we're going to ground the shuttle fleet, we're going to lease space for astronaut flight on Russian spacecraft. NASA has been told to focus on global warming, and now we have the NASA administrator on al-Jazeera last Wednesday who said this.

BOLDEN: Before I became the NASA administrator he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math. He wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.

RUSH: Now, a lot of people are saying, "Rush, the guy really didn't mean it, he's just out there, this is just a bunch of pap for the al-Jazeera audience, didn't really mean it." (snip)

This "Muslims In Space" story does seem unbelievable, as if it is a satrical parody that went urban legend viral. But it's real. Rush has the 21 minute video (a minute or two is all you need to see) of the NASA guy's, Charles Bolden, interview on Al-Jazeera at the link. Simply incredible the fawning and flattery exuded by this bureaucrat who seems perfectly comfortable in the role of puppet spouting the 0bama line.

Every time people talk about true heros and the military they need to do a little research, because this NASA leader is a former Marine general. Somehow the difference between what we think are warriors and what is true only comes out when we see what generals, like Bolden and McCrystal, have to say and do...they are liberals, working for social change inside the military.

When the guy from Al Jazeera asks the General if this is a diplomatic outreach (the purpose of said outreach being to make muslims "feel better" about their scientific and engineering accomplishments), the General backtracks by saying that this is NOT a diplomatic outreach but an effort to invite more scientific participation in our space program by muslims.

The question I have is...

Why the h$ll do we want the participation of people who are not presently proud (but are ashamed) of their scientific and engineering achievements (or lack thereof)?

‘Somehow the difference between what we think are warriors and what is true only comes out when we see what generals, like Bolden and McCrystal, have to say and do...’

Not a military ‘expert’ by any means, but it’s my impression that it’s very difficult to make general officer rank these days without gaming the system and playing politics. It’s not what you know, but whom you bl0w that counts.

Here’s an interesting little training document on an official NASA site:

engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.

They already feel pretty good about what they can do with boxcutters and stolen jetliners.

I believe this is an attempted provocation for violence so Christan's can
be blamed for being just as bad as Islam.

Agreed. The Al-Jazeera interviewer starts out in his introduction of Bolden by making fun of NASA and space exploration in general - Science .... "Fiction" ..... and "Science Fiction" ... (wink at camera)

And then his first question of Bolden is (I paraphrase):

"So, exactly why the hell are you here in Muslim land, infidel? Muslims have nothing to do with science or the space explorations of the Great Satan. And besides, you guys made up all of that stuff in Hollywood.

Very silly.

Nowadays, it’s everyone’s mission to prove allegiance to the Party Praesidium and the Commissar in Chief in the White House. If the latter wants us good, little proles to send our space probes up the skirts of Islam, then that’s the way it’s gotta be.

Until November.
