What is the crime rate there? How many murders have there been? I bet a dollar that the crime is low and there are no murders.

crimes against women/children would not be reported in a closed neighborhood - there is no way to know of someone has ‘disappeared’ or not, and noone will tell under the climate of fear closed neighborhoods invoke

You seem to be saying that you would support a theocracy -- or any sort of government that limited freedom of expression, did not use jury trials and did not presume innocence or equality of persons -- if the crime rate was low and the trains ran on time. Do you?
