My bet is we’re going to have a debate again as to whether he is fit to be on the national stage ( i.e., a Presidential Candidate ).
So, let me put things in perspective as to why he might have a problem with conservatives :
* He is not very enthusiastic about takcling social issues ( he wants a truce in debating the issues ).
You can’t hold a truce (i.e., simply vote “present” ) when issues like abortion come up in the presidential campaign.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE A STAND. Unfortunately, Daniels does not want to do it.
* He is soft on illegal immigration.
The above two issues are going to be his albatros if he were to campaign for POTUS.
Wow!
Sounds like an awesome gov!
“The above two issues are going to be his albatros if he were to campaign for POTUS.”
Perhaps, but I’m confident you would not win an election if you catered to everything we conservatives demand of our representative. The social dynamics have changed with the younger generations and they don’t have a problem with gay marriage, abortion, etc. It’s sad but true and it showed its ugly face in November 2008.
Mitch Danial’s is a rino buffoon, toll road king, owned and operated by the Spanish and Arabic toll road authority. Sorry SOS could not run his own state. Without having others states help pay the states expenses.
I agree with you. He is something of a libertarian, but to be ready for prime time he’s going to have to resolve his libertarian inclinations with a secure border and a secure womb.
This post is about Mitch Daniels. I’m not sure what Mitch Danial’s thinks about the issues.
They're the ones who elevated social issues to a Federal one-size-fits all Orwellian status with Roe V. Wade.
We need more social problems handled at the state level to bring more individual responsibility into the picture. Daniels may have the right idea IMO.
Mitch Danial’s does think about issues he performs for those that pay him. So if you ask him what he thinks he would need to make a few phone calls and get back to you. But he does like to hold hands with the camel jockeys.
The political shift to the left started with the November ‘06 election, and it continued with the November ‘08 election. Also, more people vote for American Idol contestants than vote for politicians, and all of these things helped to create the present leftist “mess” that everybody’s in. I’m not so certain that conservatives are going to actually do as well this November as they are optimistically predicting. A return to conservatism and free market reforms throughout the U.S. will have to include the actual undoing of leftist legislation that’s already in place as law (some leftist legislation that was put in place, while FDR was POTUS, onwards past today), and I’m not so certain that any future non-leftist majorities in Congress, and on down politically, are really going to be capable of legally undoing leftist legislation that’s already put in place as law (income tax systems, all entitlement programs, War on Drugs, War on Poverty, The Immigration Acts of 1965 and 1986, ObamaCare, “Campaign Finance Reform”,...) Notice how even past Republican POTUS have done some leftist things, on occasion, during their durations as president.
Your ad hominem attack on Governor Daniels is pretty weak. Australia is not Arabia and Australians are not “camel jockeys”.
But, personally, I believe that the sooner a lot of these issues go to the state level the better off we are. If that's what Daniels is implying I'm for it. It's the liberals that want so many things impacting social life decided in an Orwellian way at the Federal level.
Isn’t the road authority a Spanish-Australian one...not Arab?
LOL, look up all the companies the Australian lady that works at a bank, is president of and answer your own question. Then ask where did the king of Saudi Arabia live the last ten years of his life before he died.
LOL, sure and there is no Spanish stock owned by those camel jockeys. and the Ben Laden group isn’t one of the worlds biggest contractor with investment in other road construction firms world wide.. Got anymore nots!!
OK, so beacause Bin Laden’s family was in the construction business, that makes Australians camel jockeys and that, in turn, makes Mitch Daniels a RINO.
