Missed the N.W. race. Friday nite habits are hard to break.
I see that most everyone got Q points. I don’t think there’s a practice tomorrow before the race; the #16 seems to be very good today.
Bend summer fest tomorrow & possible bike ride if it doesn’t get too hot...we’ll catch the race shortly after it starts. Take out Hawaiian B.B. ribs & chicken on the menu. Dog tired, time for bed.
The Stilo helmet, when it was plain, did have the Darth Vader look :)
Tony Eury Jr., was pretty hot about people saying the NW race #3 was fixed -

I heard that it might have been a conspiracy, this, that and the other. I don’t know man; this sport has too much to lose pulling tricks like that.”
“I haven’t talked to her (Danica) since New Hampshire. “She’s got a crew chief; I don’t need to talk to her. I’ve got my own set of ... problems to deal with.”
Danica had a few thoughts on this subject as well .”I’ve been dealing with this for a while..He’s been dealing with this for a long time. It becomes a way of life. Any time it gets bad, you have to remember how lucky you are, that you have fans all around you all the time rooting you on. On those tough days, you have to remember that.”

I personally think she held her own last night - qualified beating half the other cars and but for a bad pit stop and a flat tire she would have been higher than 24th.
It would me, but the car probably would get better mileage.

Thanks for the ping NYT. I won’t be around much tonight, got elected to cook for 20 neighbors... pulled pork and slaw sammies, polish dawgs and lemon pepper chicken wings. We’ll just call it an extended beer run :o)
