Build the wall. Wildlife will adapt, just as they always do.

Finish the fence, screw the critters. They will survive, but the working class in america is dying from lack of jobs and high taxes to pay bene’s to illegals and their spawn.
No fence...no reform.

OK. How much damage is being done to the ecosystem by unregulated trespassing by unknown numbers of individuals on a daily basis? We’ve seen images of the destruction of the land and the enviros don’t say a word.

I think the pygmy owls will fly over the fence just fine if they get hungry and decide they need to.

Hey, then this manmade barrier will serve to increase speciation. I thought that was supposed to be a good thing.

This has absolutely nothing to do with “wildlife”. This is about opening the border to allow illegals and drugs to pass freely into our country.

Oh like Alligator Alley in Florida where fences block wildlife for 75 miles across the middle of the state of FL? Or highways where fences are used to keep wildlife from crossing I95 or I75 or I80?
Illegals are turning the border into a toxic garbage dump which is not good for the wildlife.

....no there’s no ‘urgent need’...this guy is just fishing for a grant to do the study.
To: mdittmar
Finish the wall and keep out all that illegal alien wildlife!
Eliminate all the 4 legged anchor babies!

Matt Clark, a study co-author and conservation scientist working on border issues with the Defenders of Wildlife, noted this type of research should be better funded and expanded to include other species and border security impacts. The study is undoubtedly a sham but with DoW connected to it it's nothing more than a scam.

This is easy to counter. All you need to do is find some endandered species of desert toad or something that has its habitat trampled on a daily basis by hordes of illegals.
