WASHINGTON (AP) - Calling the Declaration of Independence more than words on an aging parchment, President Barack Obama marked the Fourth of July on Sunday by urging Americans to live the principles that founded the nation as well as celebrate them.

"We celebrate the principles that are timeless, tenets first declared by men of property and wealth..

"The Founding Fathers were men of property and wealth.

Has this clown read the last line of the Declaration?

"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

He has no clue that despite all that "property and wealth", they did not feel themselves to be free, and were willing to give up their property, wealth, and even their lives to gain that freedom.

He is so unfit to be President.

...He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

...In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Before I got to your posting of that picture, I clicked the link, and saw that picture in the left column, and that is exactly what I thought.

It will not take much for Rush to do an EIB photo montage to give the Obamas the Peron treatment.

Disgusting stagecraft. And Michelle, with her hair in a bun, to sell the effect.

"Those same men pledged their lives and property to create a nation where a commie nation-stealer has the freedom to stand up in front of the U.S. and say whatever hateful lie he can spew from his lips without recourse from a vengeful monarchy. "

Yep! IMHO, the time is near when we will have to emulate the Founders and restore the gift they handed to us. Hopefully, given a second chance, the Nation would pay more attention to protecting this magnificent gift of freedom and liberty.
