Yeah, this boggles the mind. Obama is making energy decisions based only on politics. Imagine how much clean energy could be made if the $2 billion had been invested in a few nuke plants.
It says the solar plant is to be built in Arizona, so I bet they will be providing Mexico with cheap power from this tax subsidized boondoggle.

What are they going to do when they find out they will not have any power distribution towers to send the electricity to LA and elsewhere due to law suits by enviromentalist groups that will feel the spiders and scorpians in the desert may be adversly effected.

Major environmental and liberal groups are pressing President Barack Obama to play a stronger role in crafting climate change legislation and shepherding it through the Senate, claiming their members are "deeply frustrated"...If they weren't deeply frustrated, they would never join nut job, marxist environmental groups in the first place.
