Dial-up is perfectly OK for modest purposes.

Do YOU use dialup?

I'd love a higher speed without the threat of a bandwidth meter (been there, done that, won't do it again), but I don't want the Feds to touch it. It's hard enough to keep them from taxing the crap out of existing ISP services, and they've wasted the USF money...still are.

But dialup? Please.

Not for 8 years but I used dial up before that and Free Republic was usable via dial up. Free Republic is a reasonable measure.

Sure I like DSL or cable internet a lot more but if I’m in a rural area I could get along just fine with dial-up if I had to. But the Democrats tax my high speed access to death to buy votes by building/subsidizing rural high speed access
