Its been over a month since President Barack Obama called Arizona's new immigration law "misguided" and during a news conference Thursday, he gave American's several reasons why.
"Our laws should respect the families following the rules instead of splitting them a part," Obama said.
The president not only ruled out mass deportations, but provided an outline for what his plan for comprehensive immigration reform would look like.
"We have to demand responsibility for people living here illegally. They must be required to admit they broke the law, they should be required to register, pay their taxes, pay a fine and learn English," the President said.
"Those are things people have talked about and they've been thrown out there, but he laid that out as a potential for a path to citizenship," said Arjelia "Argie" Gomez with Chicano's Por La Causa.
Gomez calls the presidents remarks refreshing.
"Potentially what it could do for an individual who is not documented is give them some hope," Gomez said.
"When you talk about a fine and getting in line, that somehow mitigates the circumstance, remarked U.S. Senate candidate JD Hayworth after the speech. Make no mistake, this was amnesty pure and simple."

McAmnesty will jump right on the BO/BS bandwagon should he be reelected.
To the Freepers that say JD is no better. Put JD in and if he fails throw him out.

Former CUNY professor admits to being a spy for Russia (wed to El Diario columnist)
7/1/10, NY POST, By BRUCE GOLDING and DAN MANGAN With AP
A former CUNY professor-----born in Peru----- accused of spying for Russia used a fake name and was married to an El Diario columnist. Juan Lazaro told federal authorities after his arrest that "he would not violate his loyalty to the" Russian secret "service even for his son." The ex-prof lived in Yonkers under the fake name "Juan Lazaro."
Lazaro told told investigators that his wife, El Diario columnist Vicky Pelaez, who has US citizenship, had delivered letters to their spymasters on his behalf, and that their Yonkers home "had been paid for by the 'Service.'" Vicky Pelaez is being held without bond along with "Lazaro" -- who is refusing to provide his real name -- on charges that they acted as agents for Russia.
The filing indicated that federal authorities were monitoring their home conversations by "microphones" "for years." Judge Ronald Ellis said Pelaez who has US citizenship, could be released on house arrest with a monitoring device if someone paid the $250,000 bond ($10,000 cash needed).--SNIP--

Thanks for the info.
What are Obama’s long range plans?
In only a year in office, he has marched us to dramatic changes in our nation.
He is planning something even more sinister——something which warrants having hordes of amnetized Third World Marxists on his side.
Right and we pay for it..Just like last time. Amnesty did not work before and will not work this time...These are not people who want to become citizens and make any contribution to our society...Close the borders.
You mean like these America Loving, 'future patriots'...
'Heck', I can see them lining up by the THOUSANDS to enlist in our Military if we ever came under attack from a foreign nation.
OOPS! Hold on a sec.
My crystal ball was dusty, that was the Welfare Line.
Never mind. ;-)
I've got an idea, why not try to stimulate the PRIVATE SECTOR.
Tax cuts maybe?
Our laws should respect the families following the rules
1.Families who are on welfare under two or more names
2.Day workers who pay no taxes
3.
QUOTING FORMER CONG TOM TANCREDO (R-Colo) Juan Hernandez headed up the Mexican govt agency, "Ministry of Mexicans Living in the United States. Hernandez is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico, and a good friend of then-presidents Bush and Mexico's Vicente Fox." Hernandez was presidential candidate John McCain's Hispanic outreach man.
Hernandez explained to Cong Tancredo the purpose of the Mexican government agency (Ministry of Mexicans Living in the United States):
(1) to increase the flow of Mexican nationals to the United States.....
(2) to direct Mexican nationals in the US to serve Mexicos needs (like reconquista);
(3) to increase US remittances to Mexico of $50 billion a year (30% of the Mexican GDP);
(4) to get US jobs for an exploding Mexican population, alleviating Mexico's social instability due to rising unemployment;
(5) to get free US training for Mexicans, who are expected to return and repatriate those skills back to Mexico.
Hernandez, a dual citizen who resides in Fort Worth, supports amnesty: "By populating the United States with millions of Hispanics tied economically, politically and linguistically to Mexico, we are able to exert enormous influence and pressure on US policy and its dealings with Mexico."
SOURCE http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=33894
NOTE: " Exerting enormous influence and pressure on US policy and its dealings with Mexico" means extorting billions of US tax dollars to subsidize corrupt Third World federales.
All this undocumented doublespeak as if they simply forgot their papers at home. The lies begin in the very description of the problem and escalate from there.
I am so sick and tired of politicians believing we are all as stupid as the libs that vote for them.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Jul 1, 2010
PRESIDENT URGES OVERHAUL OF IMMIGRATION SYSTEM
TIME FOR CONGRESS TO ADDRESS THE CRISIS
Washington, DCCalling President Barack Obamas speech on immigration a necessary step in the right direction, Janet Murguía, President and CEO of NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, today urged Congress to take action and move forward on comprehensive immigration reform.
"The presidents speech comes at a crucial momentwe have a civil rights crisis in our hands due to federal inaction on immigration. He understands that the solution to our broken immigration system lies in Washington, not in Phoenix, Murguía said. But a speech alone is not enough, and it will not make a difference if the president does not follow through and push both parties in Congress to move a bill forward. It is time to see who stands for solutions and who wants to continue playing politics with peoples lives and Americas interests.
The speech comes on the heels of Arizonas controversial new immigration law, which essentially codifies racial profiling and has led to copycat proposals across the country. Such approaches could create an unworkable patchwork of state and local measures that undermine national immigration laws and procedures and open the door to racial profiling.
Its time for Washington to stop pretending that we can secure the border without fixing our legal immigration system. Its time for politicians to stop the dangerous and divisive rhetoric that fans the flames of intolerance in our country, just to score cheap political points, continued Murguía. Its time for Republicans to stop railing against the problem while blocking every attempt to fix it. And its time to stop defrauding American taxpayers with the fantasy that we can massively deport 12 million people.
America needs an answer. Comprehensive immigration reform is the solution, and the time to act is now. Politicians who stand in the way or sit on the sidelines will be held accountable on Election Day, concluded Murguía.
____________________________________________________________
The American people have a few plans of their own. Enough is Enough! See ya in November, Murguia!
And just what 'rules' does Obama think these illegal alien families are following? I guess the rules for how to game the American system.
Indeed. Even if JD is "no better", we did not reward an incumbent turncoat with another term. McCain defenders, at this point, are no better than abused wives who keep coming back for another beating.
Amen to that!
