Independence Day 2005
Since July 4, 1776, Americans have experienced freedom's power to overcome tyranny, inspire hope in times of trial, and turn the creative gifts of men and women to the pursuits of peace. Across generations, our Nation has defended and advanced liberty. The words of our Founding Fathers first guided a country of 4 million souls, yet they put large events in motion. When the Liberty Bell sounded at the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence, one who witnessed the birth of freedom in our country said, "It rang as if it meant something." In our time it means something still. America continues to proclaim liberty throughout the world, and we remain a country full of hope and promise where opportunity thrives, where all stand equal before the law, and where our freedoms are celebrated.
Americans live in freedom because of the enduring power of our ideals. In the midst of World War II, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt reminded our troops that our Nation believes in the "right to liberty under God -- for all peoples and races and groups and nations, everywhere in the world." Today, a new generation of Americans continues to defend our Nation and spread freedom. On this Fourth of July, we honor the brave men and women of our military, and their families, and we express our gratitude for their courage, dedication to duty, and love of country.
Laura and I send our best wishes to all Americans on Independence Day. May God bless you, and may God continue to bless America.

I miss them so much. Such class.
Please wait for the all clear before posting or reposting any photos or graphics
GWB was not perfect but at least he was a grown up and a man. How I miss leadership and love of our great country in the oval office.
W looks great!! (L too!)! The time off must be agreeing with them! Miss them both!
W didn’t try to run everyones lives.
He thought the people should have say about everything.
W may very well be the last honorable Christian president we ever have.
America has been sold out. God Bless America.
God Bless all our soldiers who have fought to keep us free.
Thanks for the dose..i needed it.
Ah, for the good old days, when there was still hope.
Thank you for posting! - So needed....so needed.
Thank you again for your welcome reminders. I have multiple vivid and in-color dreams every night. I dreamt last night that George and Jenna were my co-workers at some sort of car rental agency. I woke up with the biggest smile on my face. It has lasted all day.
This was like reading a GREAT book, and you never want it to end. Give us more.
Thanks
Thank you Kaslin, for once again showing us a real leader and First Lady with class and integrity. A First Lady with style, grace and charm. How we miss them and how American needs them both now!
...brings back good memories of the daily reminders we used to have of our classy President Dubya.
Thanks for the refresher.
I have to say, towards the end I didn’t agree with everything President Bush did, but looking at these photos I know that he loved this country, and he loved and respected the men and women who serve to protect it. It’s obvious in those photos when he was visiting the hospital, he sincerely cared about those soldiers and their families. Has oboingo bothered to visit any military hospital?
Now we have these confused and angry people who seem frustrated that the rest of us can't see how rotten this whole place is, and how it needs to be torn down and built up according to the silly fantasies of folks who spend most of their lives chatting with those who think just like them in the faculty lounge.
thank you. I cried.
Folks, just remember we went through a wonderful time with President Bush and his staff,we knew we could wake up and the world would still be here when they were in office..Not so today with the trash and his crew taring down our country..
Make sure to vote people of America,we can't live through another year of this group that are in Washington today..Vote for your children and grandchildren to have someone like we did that will take care of our country and the people in it..
Thanks for the memories..
Thank you for putting together this thread once again, Kaslin. I know it is a lot of work. I so appreciate the time you spent!
Wow, thank you for this thread. I didn’t know that anyone was doing anything like this. It’s good to finally appreciate the good old days when our leaders were competent and had a decent respect for America.
