I wasn't very thrilled when Brewer took over as governor. She didn't seem very excited about taking the job. Now, I'll walk barefooted over broken glass to vote for her. What a surprise she turned out to be. Barry the Kenyan loves to whine and cry about the "mess" President Bush left him. He's got it made compared to the mess Napolitano left for Brewer. Arizona is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy and we aren't allowed to print money the way Barry can.
You from AZ?
Jan Brewer represented the district New River is in - before redistricting. I don’t remember if she was the state rep or on the county board of supervisors at the time. All I remember is the story from the horse people in the area of how she showed up at a rodeo wearing heals. She literally stepped in “it”.
When she took over as governor, I wasn’t at all impressed. Now, I’m in shock and awe. Who knew that a politician that would wear heals to a rodeo had a back bone!
JD was also our congressman for a long time. We had no complaints.
We live in a feminine society. Europe is another. Both are ruled by the votes of their women and both are heading inexorably to the status of Mommy states with foreign policies of Apologize-to-Bobby-right-now and can't-we-all-just-get-along? and domestic policies of regulation of everything to make everything nice.
The masculine countries are characterized by numbers of young men that cannot marry because there are no prospective wives for them(the Moslems because of multiple wives for the more affluent). Their sexually competitive energies must find outlet to avoid that energy threatening the culture's already ruling class and the obvious outlet is conquest which aggrandizes the home country while reducing the number of excess males.
You all in Arizona did great with Jan Brewer. Lets hope you, and all other Arizonans, get rid of John McCain in the Senate primary....for all Americans
