Dr. Land is speaking at my daughter’s church on July 4th here in Georgia, and I had been looking forward to attending. But I really can’t believe he thinks like this. This is childish reasoning. They can observe sancity of life, marriage, and issues of faith in their OWN country! By the way, here’s a novel idea. Urge other countries to become decent enough that their people want to STAY rather than ESCAPE. Hey Mexico, get out the disinfectant and clean up your nasty armpit of a country. How dare you lecture US on our faults, Calderone!
My understanding is that the biggest anti-illegal group going is LEGAL Hispanic immigrants themselves.
Surprisingly Obama did not spontaneously combust.

I think an accurate measure of real support is reflected in 70% approval rating for the Arizona Governor. LaRaza would have us believe otherwise.
Well, Dr. Land, this conserative has no problem with LEAGL immigrants, it’s that whole ILLEGAL thing that bothers me.
*sheesh* I think it’s time for Land to retire or something. Everytime he opens his mouth I cringe.
Thanks for the ping WKB
(good Gawd...the silly man dyes his hair for Pete's sake)
I think it goes back to the scripture that speaks of pleasing God or pleasing man. Seems that this isn’t the first time that Land has been more concerned about pleasing man.... Just sayin’.
The more I listen to these “evangelical leaders”, the more they sound like politicians. Are these people who like the special places at the banquet table and love to hobnob with the powerful?
Good point - I wonder how many of these Hispanic “evangelicals” vote Republican. I live in a very blue state that has lots of Catholics. The Catholic Church is strongly against abortion but that does not stop the great majority of Catholics from voting for the Democrat party. Look at the urban blue areas - they are heavily populated by Catholics who are supposedly prolife and profamily but they vote for the most liberal politicians of all. I am speaking as a Massachusetts resident so I know personally. When push comes to shove people vote money not morality. Many Catholics and Hispanics may be personally against abortion or gay marriage but the government give-aways come first, this is what has kept the Democrat party in power - giving away other people’s money.
I am disgusted with the so-called evangelical leadership, they are following the Catholic leadership in giving away our children’s future to the interlopers who invade our country and call US the racists, bigots etc. When Americans go to Mexico, they go with the permission of the Mexican people and they obey the laws of that country. Is it too much to expect the same respect from our neighbor to the south?
I hope that the voters will not listen to our misguided “evangelical leaders”. If you look up National Hispanic Christian Leadership Council you will see how they are well connected to some of the top evangelical groups. My impression of this Rev. Sam Rodriguez is that he is another slick talking snake in the grass.
Even Nancy Pelosi got on the “God thing”, calling everybody to support comprehensive immigration reform (amnesty) and quoting the Bible.
