Former Justice Department Lawyer Accuses Holder of Dropping New Black Panther Case for Racial....

A former Justice Department attorney who quit his job to protest the Obama administration's handling of the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case is accusing Attorney General Eric Holder of dropping the charges for racially motivated reasons.

J. Christian Adams, now an attorney in Virginia and a conservative blogger, says he and the other Justice Department lawyers working on the case were ordered to dismiss it.

"I mean we were told, 'Drop the charges against the New Black Panther Party,'" Adams told Fox News, adding that political appointees Loretta King, acting head of the civil rights division, and Steve Rosenbaum, an attorney with the division since 2003, ordered the dismissal.

Asked about the Justice Department's claim that they are career attorneys, not political appointees, Adams said "obviously, that's false."

"Under the vacancy reform act, they were serving in a political capacity," he said. "This is one of the examples of Congress not being told the truth, the American people not being told the truth about this case. It's one of the other examples in this case where the truth simply is becoming another victim of the process."

Adams claimed an unnamed political appointee said if somebody wants to bring these kinds of cases, "that' not going to de done out of the civil rights division."

Adams also accused Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez of lying under oath to Congress about the circumstances surrounding the decision to drop the probe.

The Justice Department has defended its move to drop the case, saying it obtained an injunction against one member to keep him away from polling stations while dismissing charges against the others "based on a careful assessment of the facts and the law."

In the words of Forrest Gump:

“I’m sorry I got in a fight in the middle of your black panther party.”

"Adams says the dismissal is a symptom of the Obama administration's reverse racism and that the Justice Department will not pursue voting rights cases against white victims."

"reverse racism" is pervasive among the scum of the politically correct "progressive" left --- not to mention also "reverse sexism" --- virtually all of the racist and sexist behaviors and words I have witnessed in my lifetime (I'm 50 y.o.) have emanated from "politically correct" leftists....

Holder made race a voter issue in Kinston NC, over ruled their wishes. This is from Rush:

TRANSCRIPT

--"Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections," It's two-thirds black, one-third white, they voted 65% to do away with party affiliation to local elections. In other words, they have no Democrats or Republican identification on the ballot.

--Just the candidates' names. That's not good enough for the Obama administration. The Obama administration and the attorney general, Eric Holder, have "recently overruled the electorate" in Kinston, North Carolina, "and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party." They are worried that whites will not vote for blacks unless it is said that they are Democrats in this county. This is what this all can get boiled down to. "The Justice Department's ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their 'candidates of choice' -- identified by the department as those who are Democrats..."

--They are in effect saying, "No, no, no! You guys down there you cannot do this. Even though you voted 65% to get rid of party affiliation in local elections, you can't do it. You're going to have to identify who the Democrats are otherwise the black people won't know who to vote for."

--That's what the Obama Justice Department is saying. And it was Eric Holder said, wait a minute. We need to have a conversation about race. We're still "cowards about race" in this country. So you have here a 65% African-American district, a little town, Kinston, North Carolina, which voted overwhelmingly in favor of Obama, this same electorate passed a nonpartisanship provision by a two to one margin, yet the civil rights division of the Holder Justice Department decided it knew better and using an unconstitutional law "dictated its terms," like our moralizing attorney general likes to say.

-- In things racial, we have always been and continue to be in too many ways essentially a nation of cowards. If that's true, then Eric Holder's own civil rights division is cowardice central. It shouldn't have taken much courage to let Kinston be Kinston.

I live in the Philly suburbs—when this happened on Election Day, the local news caught up with Philly’s (black) mayor, Michael “Liver Lips” Nutter-he was out and about somewhere.

The news crew asked him, on the air, what he thought of the reports about this.

He gave one of those disgusted contempt-filled smirk/scowl faces that blacks seem to like to make-and said:

“This is America-those men (he meant the Panthers) can stand wherever they want!”

Oh and since this happened in Philly, you’d figure the story would be on the news now in light of the new developments.

Nope-nada-zilch.
