I hate to inform you but only 6 percent of the people are telling America what to do and what laws are to be enacted.
The average American does not want all of these rules and regulations.
Of course there are those who want their kind of big government under Bush or big government under Obama.

Nearly half the likely voters still support him. Thats why we cant demand his resignation....along with 95% of the media, which is where the rubber meets the road for public demands of any kind. So long as NYT/LAT/WP/NBC/et al support the manchild, he's safe. Even if his rating were to drop to -40 it still wouldn't matter if the media have his rhetorical back. It's when the press starts printing the context and pointing out how the powerful one is manipulating facts and opinion that the real pressure starts to be brought to bear.
