I actually heard a so called health care expert insist that there is something called ‘herd immunity’ meaning that if most of a group are inoculated then all are inoculated.

It made no sense at all but then nothing coming from any experts makes sense. Not just about inoculations, but about everything coming from ‘experts’.

Herd immunity means that if you reach a certain threshold of immune individuals in a community, say 90%, those who are susceptible to infection get some protection because it is so hard for an infection to spread. Too many links in the chain are broken for an epidemic to start. It doesn’t mean an individual who is not immune can’t get sick occasionally.

‘herd immunity’

Herd immunity is a scientific fact. You just misunderstood the concept. If you are not immune, but everyone around you is, then you cannot contract the disease because you will not be exposed to it. You don't become immune.

Your comment just makes me sad for the state of education in America. As conservatives, we should be striving for knowledge so we can make informed decissions, not reacting to feelings we have for the speaker.
