Reading the article, he didn't really declare very clearly where he stood on immigration, other than the feds should lead. I think he was quoted as saying he didn't like the idea of a path to citizenship, but not much else was said.

I didn't understand why he would think Obama was an "ally" on taking it to the teacher's unions, that was strange.

The other thing I thought of, was this guy reducing all GOP stands to budgeting? It sounded like the trial balloon sent up by Mitch Daniels to me. The article had less substantial info than I would like, that's for sure. So far I've liked how Christie has handled himself, but if he is going the way of Daniels (surrender on everything else), I'll gladly rethink how I see him.

This is a mark against Christie. The GOP cannot hang all social issues out to dry.

The left never does. In fact, the left uses social issues to acheive their goals.

A person needs to scrap “working with Obozo”. Obozo is a communist and a liar.

I do think there is a power play going on between the Clinton’s and Obama. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the return of the Hildebeast for 2012.
