Try this: Next time you see some poor woman wearing one of those full-body slammite things, say something like “Pardon me, miss, but if you’re interested, I know a place where you could buy a pistol to shoot the sorry a**h*** who’s making you wear that thing!”

There is a difference between covering ones head which results in separating from the community and concealing one’s identity, vs covering ones head (for modesty) while integrating into the greater society (like many Jewish and Anabaptist women).

Oh, damn, that’s a winner! LOL!

I saw a full black burka clad one in the last year at my Costco. It was really jarring, I didn’t like it a bit.

I really will try to remember that for next time. You don’t know me, but trust me, I would say that in public.

I have only seen one woman whos entire head and face was covered with only her eyes showing out of her hajib. She was at the medical center in the waiting room. I doubt if she spoke English. I did not see a man with her and I thought muslim women were not supposed to go out alone.
