Clinton Endorses Romanoff Over Incumbent Bennet

Throwing a wrench in the gears of Democrats pushing the candidacy of Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, Bill Clinton today endorsed Bennet's primary challenger, former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff.

The move solidifies the fact that Clinton and Democratic leadership in Washington are not always on the same page. The White House is so firmly in support of Bennet that it discussed other potential jobs in Washington with Romanoff that he could explore instead of running for Senate.

"Colorado is far better off today because of Andrew Romanoff's leadership. America will be too," Clinton writes in an email to supporters titled, "I support Andrew Romanoff." "Andrew brings to this race both an extraordinary record of public service and an extraordinary capacity to lead. I believe that those assets, as well as his deep commitment to Colorado, give him the best chance to hold this seat in November."...

The bent one strikes again, but neither he or the One seem to have much luck with their endorsements.

The two Clinton sharks smell Oilbama’s blood in the water, and are swimming slowly in for the upcoming feasting.

You bet.

The Clinton’s HAVE NOT forgot that heated primary.

Where Clinton accused Obama of playing the race card.

Both you guys seem to be discounting the Clintons.

Clinton just endorsed Blance Lincoln against the Unions.

She won. By the way Hillary’s numbers do not match Obama’s right now. They are much higher.

So unless you want a Clinton in office replacing Obama in 2012 we better be ready for them.

Because they are coming.....

Perhaps. Certainly 2012 will be Hillary’s last chance.

Hillary will resign effective Jan 1 2011. She will blame Obama for the November debacle. She will announce her candidacy next June. She will win all the primaries. Minorities will riot. The Dems will implode. We have a chance with Scott Brown.

Clinton has worked to create that "elder statesman" image, and erase the memory of the shabby squalor of his filthy defiled White House. Given the brain dead stupor in which most 'rat voters live, it may well have worked by now.

I race between Ken Buck and Andrew Romanoff would be a study in contrasts and a great race, hopefully ending in a Buck landslide.

My friend, you are right on the money!!! Both Bill and Hillary Clinton know that Obama is toast as POTUS. They certainly smell blood in the water. One can only imagine what is going on behind the scenes in the Democrat party. Panic is building as each day passes and Obama remains POTUS. I would not be one bit surprised if the Clintons and their troops are doing Obama in and getting ready to broom the total failure Obama is!!!

If I can vote in the democrat primary, I would vote for Bennett since he is more likely to lose. Plus also he is a NY carpetbagger !

Every incumbent President since FDR who faced any signifcant challenge for re-election from within his own party was forced out of office. And none of the challengers was elected President that year either.

Consider:

Truman had Estes Kefauver, who beat him in the 1952 New Hampshire primary. That forced Truman from the race.

LBJ had Eugene McCarthy, who came in a close second in the 1968 NH primary, which showed LBJ to be very much vulnerable to an anti-war Dem opponent. RFK jumped in and that forced LBJ from the race.

Ford had Reagan in 1976. Ford lost the general election.

Carter had Kennedy in 1980. Carter lost the general election (thank the Lord).

Bush had Buchanan in 1992. Bush lost the general election.

Following the model of history, if Hillary looks like she will beat Obama, he will withdraw from the race. He will then name a successor, who will win the nomination but lose the general election. If Hillary loses to Obama in 2012, he will lose the general election.

Now, no President running for re-election, who did not face a challenge from within his own party, was defeated in the general election. So, right now, I say GO HILLARY.

Which was the same time RFK suddenly became 'anti-war' over the war his brother started.

They treat Bobby Kennedy like some damn saint today, but the reality was he was a vicious little prick who would do anything for power.
